Rise & Shine Painting is a 100% woman-owned and operated company, founded by master painter Mei Tang, a Portland native who believed that a fresh coat of paint could truly transform not just a home, but how a family feels within it. That belief has guided everything we've done.
What started as a one-woman operation in Northeast Portland has grown into a full-service painting company with a team of 20+ skilled craftspeople — but we've never lost the personal touch that made us Portland's most trusted painting company.
The Pacific Northwest's unique climate — wet winters, beautiful summers — demands painting expertise that goes beyond the basics. We master weather-resistant applications, humidity-conscious prep work, and paint selections that stand up to Portland's conditions year after year.
In 2008, we made a formal commitment to sustainable painting practices, transitioning our entire product line to low-VOC and zero-VOC paints. Because we live here too, and we care about the air our families breathe.
